ISR Performance V2 Oil Cooler Kit - Nissan SR20DET S13/S14

Oil temperature climbs fast on a turbocharged SR20DET, and hot oil is thin oil. The ISR Performance V2 oil cooler kit for the Nissan SR20DET S13 and S14 adds a 16 row oil cooler core to the engine's oiling system, dropping oil temperatures and extending the life of the engine in any performance application where the stock setup runs out of margin.

Why cool the oil

Keeping the oiling system cool is a must on any performance SR20DET. Oil that stays in its intended temperature range maintains film strength, protects bearings and turbo journals, and resists breaking down over a long session. An oil cooler is one of the most direct ways to protect an SR that sees boost, track days or drift events.

Application

Nissan SR20DET, S13 and S14 chassis. ISR recommends pairing this kit with the oversized ISR Performance stainless steel oil pan to further increase oil capacity and improve cooling.

Installation

The block adapter mounts at the oil filter location with the matching thread pitch, with the cooler core positioned to receive airflow and the nylon lines routed away from exhaust heat and moving parts. Check oil level after the first run, since the cooler and lines add volume to the system.

Legal in California only for racing vehicles which may never be used, or registered or licensed for use, upon a highway.
