ISR Performance SR20DET Multi-Layer Exhaust Manifold Gasket

The ISR Performance multi-layer exhaust manifold gasket for the Nissan SR20DET and SR20DE is built to deal with the thing exhaust gaskets fail at: holding clamp load as the manifold gets hot and the fasteners relax. The multi-layer steel construction improves bolt-load retention at elevated temperatures, creating a tight force to seal the exhaust pressure these engines produce.

Gasket Design

When to Replace

Any time the manifold comes off, whether for a turbo swap, a top mount manifold install or a rocker arm stopper job, a new gasket is cheap insurance against a leak that would otherwise mean pulling the manifold again. An exhaust leak ahead of the turbo also costs boost response.

Installation

Clean the head and manifold faces completely, fit the gasket dry, and torque the manifold fasteners evenly from the center out. Re-check torque after the first heat cycle, particularly on a top mount setup where the manifold expands more.
