ISR Performance OE Replacement RWD SR20DET S13 Intake Manifold Gasket

Between the lower intake manifold and the cylinder head of the S13 RWD SR20DET sits this ISR Performance OE replacement intake manifold gasket. It is the gasket you need when the manifold comes off the head for a rebuild, a head gasket job or a port cleaning, and it is distinct from the collector gasket that seals the upper plenum.

Why not reuse the old one

The manifold to head gasket on the SR20DET seals four intake ports plus coolant and vacuum passages around them. After years of heat it takes a set and cannot re-seal against a freshly cleaned head. A leak here produces a lean condition on individual cylinders that can be mistaken for an injector problem.

Install tips

Check the manifold flange for flatness, especially if it has been overheated, and torque the manifold fasteners from the center outward in stages. Replace the collector gasket at the same time if the upper plenum is also removed.
