ISR Performance OE Replacement RWD SR20DET S13 Intake Collector Gasket

The ISR Performance OE replacement intake collector gasket seals the upper intake plenum, which Nissan calls the collector, to the lower intake manifold on the S13 RWD SR20DET. The collector comes off for injector service, intake manifold swaps and access to the back of the head, and this gasket should be replaced each time.

What a bad collector gasket does

Because the collector carries boost as well as vacuum, a gasket that no longer seals leaks in both directions. At idle it draws in unmetered air and upsets fuel trims; under boost it bleeds pressure and can whistle. Either way the engine runs inconsistently and the leak can be hard to pinpoint without a smoke test.

Install advice

Both aluminum faces need to be clean and unmarked. Tighten the collector bolts in a spiral from the center outward and torque to spec so the gasket compresses evenly across the long flange.
