ISR Performance OE Replacement Front Main Seal - RWD SR20DET

Sitting behind the crank pulley, the front main seal on a Nissan RWD SR20DET is a frequent leak point as these engines age. This ISR Performance OE replacement front main seal fits S13 and S14 SR20DET engines and restores a dry front cover without resorting to a used part or dealer pricing.

Signs it needs replacing

Oil slung around the inside of the timing cover area, a wet crank pulley, or belts that keep glazing and squealing all point to a tired front main seal. On an SR the leak often appears after a pulley swap or a timing chain job, when the old seal is disturbed.

Working tips

Remove the crank pulley and clean the snout thoroughly. Press the seal in evenly to the same depth as the original, oil the lip, and torque the crank bolt back to spec once reassembled.
