The ISR Performance full subframe bushing solid inserts for the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 Coupe replace the soft, aging rubber that lets the rear subframe shift under load. Subframe bushings are one of the most overlooked wear items on the Z and G chassis, and by the time most of these cars reach an enthusiast, the originals are tired.

Why solid bushings

Every bit of energy that goes into moving the subframe is energy that never reaches the dampers. A subframe that walks around under cornering muddies steering feel, delays turn-in and makes the rear end feel vague. Replacing the rubber with solid anodized aluminum bushings puts the subframe back where it belongs and gives the driver a much more direct read on what the rear tires are doing.

Install notes

Removing the stock bushings and fitting solids is not a quick job. The subframe needs to be dropped or significantly lowered and the old rubber pressed or burned out. Expect some additional noise and vibration transfer into the cabin, as with any solid bushing. The payoff in suspension feel and response is well worth the effort.
