Where 3 Inch Clamps Go

On a 240SX or Genesis Coupe intercooler build, the cold side piping and the intercooler end tanks are often 3 inches, as are many cone filter inlets. Boost pressure acting on a 3 inch joint produces real separating force, so a correctly sized clamp with full band contact is what keeps the coupler from walking off the pipe under load.

Compatibility

Universal. Fits 3 inch couplers on intercooler piping, 3 inch intake tubes, and the inlet of ISR 3 inch cone filters. Smaller 2.5 inch and 2.75 inch clamps are available separately.

Usage Notes

Seat the clamp fully over the coupler and behind the pipe bead. Tighten firmly without crushing the coupler, then recheck once the system has seen boost.
