Why a strap instead of a rigid hook

A fabric strap tucks out of the way when it is not needed, does not become a projectile in contact, and still gives the tow truck a strong, obvious point to attach. On a lowered car it also avoids the ground clearance issues of a long solid hook.

Fitting the strap

Loop the strap through your tow hook mount and confirm it is accessible from the outside of the bumper. Check event rules on color and visibility, since some organizers require the strap to be easily seen from a distance.
