ISR Performance Universal T3 Turbo Blanket

A turbo blanket is one of the cheapest ways to drop underhood temperatures on a boosted car. The ISR Performance universal T3 turbo blanket wraps the turbine housing of a T3 sized turbo, keeping exhaust heat inside the housing where it helps spool, and away from the intake, wiring and plastics around it.

What It Does

• Insulates the turbine housing of T3 turbos.
• Reduces radiant heat soaking into intake piping, the intake manifold and nearby components.
• Helps keep exhaust gas energy in the turbine for quicker response.
• Protects hoses, wiring and paint located near the turbo.

Fitment

Universal fit for T3 turbine housings, which covers a wide range of turbos used on SR20DET, KA24DE-T, RB and other top mount or bottom mount setups. For T25/T28 sized turbos, see the ISR titanium T25/T28 blanket.

Installation

Fit the blanket over the turbine housing with the turbo cool, pulling it snug around the housing and securing it with the attached fastening system so it does not contact the turbine wheel inlet or the wastegate actuator. Expect some odor on the first few heat cycles as the material cures. Check the blanket occasionally for oil contamination, since a blanket soaked in oil should be replaced.
