ISR Performance Titanium Turbo Blanket - Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T

The ISR Performance Titanium Turbo Blanket is custom fit for the 2010 to 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T. It wraps the turbine housing in a heat barrier that shields and protects nearby engine components, the hood and painted surfaces from turbo-generated heat, and it does it with a carbon fiber style look that cleans up the engine bay.

What it does for the 2.0T

Keeping heat inside the turbine housing rather than radiating it into the engine bay has two effects. First, less underhood heat means cooler intake air temperatures, which the ECU rewards with more timing and a bump in horsepower. Second, retaining heat energy in the turbine helps spool, so ISR describes the blanket as a thermal barrier that reduces turbo lag. It also protects hood liners, wiring and plastics that sit close to the turbo on the Genesis Coupe.

Installation

Custom fit means no cutting or trimming. Fit the blanket over the turbine housing and secure it with the built-in anchoring hooks. Some odor during the first few heat cycles is normal.
