ISR Performance Solid Subframe Bushings - BMW E36 3 Series

Worn rear subframe bushings are at the root of many E36 handling complaints: vague rear end, shifting alignment and the knock you hear over bumps. ISR Performance solid subframe bushings for the BMW E36 3 Series replace the factory rubber with solid pieces that fix the rear subframe to the chassis, so suspension geometry stays where you set it and the car responds the moment you turn in.

What to expect

Solid bushings are a performance choice. They transmit more noise, vibration and harshness than rubber or polyurethane, and they put more load into the chassis mounting points, so inspecting the rear subframe mounting area for cracks before installation is worthwhile on a high mileage E36. Installation requires lowering the rear subframe; this is a convenient time to address the differential mount bushing as well.
