ISR Performance Rocker Arm Stoppers - Nissan SR20DET

The SR20DET has a known weakness: at high RPM, the rocker arms can jump off their lash adjusters and get thrown, with expensive consequences. ISR Performance rocker arm stoppers for the RWD SR20DET bolt over the rockers to keep them in place, and these are made from stainless steel rather than the mild steel used by HKS and Greddy.

Why Stainless Matters

• Stainless steel rocker arm stoppers will not chip or rust under extensive use and abuse.
• Mild steel stoppers from other brands can corrode and flake inside the valve cover over time.
• Holds the rocker arms positively at high RPM so a missed shift or over-rev is less likely to end in a thrown rocker.

Fitment

• Nissan S13 SR20DET: fits directly, no modification.
• Nissan S14 and S15 SR20DET: can be used, but requires trimming and cutting out some material underneath the valve cover near the oil cap area that contacts the RAS.

Install Notes

Install with the valve cover off, taking care to clean the area so no debris enters the head. On S14 and S15 engines, test fit the valve cover before final assembly to find exactly where it contacts the stoppers near the oil cap, then trim only that material. Reuse or replace the valve cover gasket and torque the cover bolts evenly.
