ISR Performance Transmission Mount - Nissan 240sx

A soft or broken transmission mount lets the whole drivetrain shift under power, which shows up as driveline clunk, sloppy shifter feel and wasted motion before the power reaches the tires. The ISR Performance transmission mount for the Nissan 240SX replaces the factory rubber mount with polyurethane to stiffen the drivetrain and firm up transmission feel.

Best Used With

This mount pairs great with the ISR Performance adjustable engine mount set. Replacing the engine mounts with polyurethane while leaving a soft transmission mount in place lets the back of the drivetrain keep moving, so doing both together gives the most consistent result.

Installation

Support the transmission with a jack, unbolt the crossmember, swap the mount and reassemble. Expect a modest increase in cabin vibration and gear noise compared to rubber, which is the normal tradeoff for a polyurethane mount. Torque all hardware to spec and re-check after the first few drives.
