Open ended construction

Extended studs pass through the open end, so a long stud never stops the nut from clamping the wheel. If you have done a stud conversion or run spacers, open ended nuts are the right choice.

Why heat treated steel

Lug nuts take abuse from impact guns and repeated torque cycles. Steel that has been heat treated keeps its threads and hex intact where aluminum nuts wear quickly and can seize to the stud.

Fitment

Vehicles with M12x1.50 wheel studs and wheels that accept a 17 mm hex tuner style lug. Nissan and Subaru owners with 1.25 pitch studs should order the M12x1.25 version instead.
