ISR Performance Nissan 350z/370Z Thermostat VQ35HR & VQ37VHR - 68 Degree

The ISR Performance 68 degree thermostat for the VQ35HR and VQ37VHR opens at 68 degrees Celsius (154.4 degrees Fahrenheit) instead of the factory 78 degrees, getting coolant flowing through the engine sooner and holding temperatures lower once warmed up. It is the version without a water port and fits the Nissan 350Z and 370Z along with the Infiniti G37 on the HR and VHR engines.

How a colder thermostat helps

After the engine reaches operating temperature, the thermostat opens at a lower point than the standard unit. Coolant circulates earlier, which reduces peak temperatures and helps maintain a cooler, more stable engine temperature during hard driving or in hot climates. ISR developed it with Arizona summer heat in mind.

Confirm your engine is the HR or VHR version; the non HR VQ35DE uses a different ISR thermostat. Replace the thermostat gasket at the same time and bleed the cooling system after refilling.
