Why replace factory lines

Original rubber lines on a car that is a couple of decades old become brittle and crack, and a failed oil or coolant line can end an engine fast. Braided nylon hose is a durable upgrade that also tidies up the engine bay on a swap or turbo build where the factory plumbing no longer fits.

Building a line

Match the hose with ISR -10AN hose ends in straight, 45 degree and 90 degree styles. Measure the route with the engine in place, add a little slack for movement, and cut the hose cleanly with a fine-tooth blade or hose cutter. Wrap the cut point with tape first to keep the braid from fraying during assembly.
