ISR Performance Weld on O2 Bung

The ISR Performance Weld-On O2 Bung is a fabrication staple. Whenever you build a custom downpipe, test pipe, header collector or mid pipe, you need somewhere to thread in an oxygen sensor, and this bung gives you that mounting point. Weld it in, thread the sensor in, and the job is done.

Where to use it

• Adding a wideband sensor location for tuning
• Replacing a cracked or stripped factory bung on an existing exhaust
• Custom turbo downpipes and O2 housings
• Test pipes and high flow cat installs that relocate the sensor

Fabrication notes

Place the bung on the upper half of the pipe, ideally between 10 and 2 o'clock, so condensation drains away from the sensor tip rather than pooling on it. Drill a clean hole, deburr it, and tack the bung in place before running a full bead around it. Thread a sensor or a bolt into the bung during welding to keep the threads from distorting, and chase them afterward if needed.
