ISR Performance Solid Short Throw Shifter - Nissan RB25DET

A solid short shifter for the RB25DET transmission has been hard to find in the US, and the ISR Performance solid short throw shifter for the Nissan RB25DET finally makes one available here. Rather than chasing a dramatic throw reduction, it focuses on the thing RB shifters need most: taking the slop out.

What Changes

• Reduces shifter movement by roughly 10 percent.
• Firms up the shifter and removes the vague, rubbery feel of the stock unit.
• Direct bolt-in replacement, no cutting or fabrication.
• Noticeably more precise gear selection, which is the biggest benefit over stock.

Bushing Note

To eliminate slop, the lower bushing on this shifter is made slightly larger than stock to take up any variance in the factory bushing seat. If it does not drop in on your gearbox, lightly sand the outside of the ISR bushing until it is a very snug fit. Do not force it and do not remove more material than needed.

Nissan RB25DET transmission, including RB25DET swaps into 240SX chassis.

Install

Access the shifter from inside the car through the console and boot. Transfer the shift knob, fit the ISR shifter and bushing, and confirm all gears engage cleanly before reassembling the console.
