What silicone brings

Rubber coolant hoses expand a little every time the system pressurizes, and over years of heat cycles they lose their strength. Silicone is much stronger, so the hose keeps its shape under pressure and stays flexible instead of hardening. The result is a cooling system that holds pressure as it should and hoses you do not have to think about replacing again.
