ISR Performance Magnetic Oil Drain Plug - M12x1.25

The ISR Performance magnetic oil drain plug in M12x1.25 thread is a low-cost insurance item for any engine. The magnet in the tip pulls ferrous wear particles out of the oil and holds them at the plug, where you can see them at every oil change instead of leaving them to circulate through the bearings.

Why Use One

Besides filtering, the magnetic plug is a diagnostic tool. A light fuzz of fine particles is normal. Larger flakes or a thick buildup are early warning that something is wearing inside, and catching that at an oil change is a lot cheaper than catching it on the dyno.

Fitment

Any oil pan with an M12x1.25 drain plug thread, which includes many Nissan applications such as the SR20DET and KA24DE in the 240SX. Confirm your pan thread before ordering, especially on aftermarket pans.

Use

Fit with a new crush washer, torque to the pan manufacturer's spec, and wipe the magnet clean at every oil change before reinstalling.
